ILR Application date

Hello everybody

Hope all are well.

I have a question around my wife’s ILR application date, I am a little confused as to exactly when we should be applying - I will detail our key dates and hopefully somebody can help us clarify.

FLR M application and grant - June 26 2015
(Premium service)
- 30 months would be - December 26 2017
BRP issue: June 26 2015
BRP expiry: January 23 2018

FLR M extension application - November 30 2017
FLR M extension granted - January 15 2018
BRP issue: January 15 2018
BRP expiry: August 12 2020

From the above dates:
5 year residence expires after June 26 2020 - is this our deadline?

Visa expires 30 months after grant on 15 Jan 2018.... so is 15 July 2020 our deadline?

BRP valid until 12 August 2020 - is this our deadline? Or does qualifying period open 28 days prior to this date?

Really hoping somebody can help shed some light.

So just to check - the 5 year expiry takes precedence over visa expiry date?

I ask because the earliest LIUK test date we could manage to get is July 4th.

You can apply ILR anytime from 29th May until the expiry date of visa.

Apologies for being dense here - but would you agree that visa expiry is 15 July 2020 (30 months from grant on 15 jan 2018)?

Can you confirm that BRP expiry has no relevance here?

In most cases the BRP expiry is immaterial especially when someone has completed the qualify period earlier than that. But still there is no harm in following the expiry date which in your case is until August 2020 which is despite longer than 30 months but isn't unusual because extra 1 month is normally added up where the old visa still hasn't yet expired. Thus, since you have time to prepare & attend the liuk test so you should avail this surplus time.
