Changing from-10-year-route-to-5-year-route

Does changing from the 10 year family route to 5 require filling a new set of form? Or can it be fine by a cover letter requesting to switch?

Also, what are the Eligibility requirements ?

You need to complete a new application form and pay all the fees again.

You cannot just send a letter asking to change.

Presumably you are in FLR fp? Are you on the parent or partner route?

For the 5 year route, you need to meet the English and financial requirment.
