Physically present 5 years before the application date

Post by HaffuYK » Mon Jul 13, 2020 5:14 am

Dear Gurus
I need your help
I came to UK in 2008 legally and now making my naturalisation application I got ILR last year 02/07/2019 but when I was going through the policy guidance it's mentioned I need to be physically present in UK 5 years before the date of application in UK for example 13/07/2015 . I have been away from country in total 430 days in last 5 years and In 2015 I was away from 10/07/2015 to 16/11/2015 and was not physically present on 13/07/2015 in UK. Can I apply now or should or should I wait until November please advice so I don’t loose money ??
Once again thanks for your help

You should wait until November. The physical presence 5 years ago is a mandatory requirement.

You could have applied in the 2nd/3rd of July already.
