SET (O) or SET (M)

Post by rnp7 » Mon Mar 01, 2021 7:27 pm

Hi,

I am a British citizen who Settled via ILR on Tier 2 general previously. My ILR was granted in 2018. My wife is applying for her ILR who first entered in this country in 2014 as Tier 2 dependent. Her recent PBS dependent extension was in 2019 which was after I settled here (as my ILR was granted in 2018). I am not sure under what category is she supposed to apply for her ILR, will it be SET (O) or SET (M)?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

SET O is the only form that she can use if she has held a PBS dependent for 5 years
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Declaration Form

Post by rnp7 » Sun Mar 21, 2021 4:23 pm

Hi,

I am a British Citizen who was naturalised through Tier 2 General route. I am now applying ILR for my wife based on tier 2 dependent SET (O). We have already submitted the application and booked appointment with UKVCAS while answering the following questions,

1. The person you are joining or accompanying?
I have provided my name here

2.What is My Nationality:
British Citizen

3. Which visa is Mr (my name) applying for or been granted?
Tier 2 (General) visa

Then I answered No for reference numbers and left blank for next question which is If they have one, what is Mr (my name) sponsor licence number?

Are the above answers correct?

And lastly,

Does my wife (who is the main applicant) need to sign and submit declaration form?

and
The checklist asks " Decleration signed by Mr (my name) to confirm consent for the Home Office to request verification checks.
Now which part do I sign here? Part 1 is done by my wife. Do I fill Part 2 (which is third party) or Part 3 (which is third party sponsor)

Please note that my wife has been working full time on Tier 2 dependent visa.

Thanks,

It is all fine. She signs part one and you only part two

ILR Decision

Post by rnp7 » Thu Apr 08, 2021 12:56 pm

Hi Guys,

My wife applied for ILR using SET(O) (was on Tier 2 PBS dependent) and she got an email this morning saying her BRP should arrive within next few days. However, the subject line of the email read "Your Skilled worker Application" and the body said "Please find attached the decision letter for your Skilled Worker application".

I already have a British passport (was settled previously through 5 year Tier 2 General).

I am slightly confused regarding the application type mentioned in the email. Is this something usual or has anything gone wrong here? We can only wait for BRP now to check what it says but thought to post this query here (impatient me!).

Thanks,

Skilled worker visa has replaced Tier 2G since Dec 2020. It is the new name.
