changing from 10 years route to 5 years

any input on below will be greatly appreciated

I am person with a family who is on 10 years family route and in about 9 months time I'll be going for for 3 extension.
I have heard true or untrue that now if a person who is on 10 years route can switch to 5 years route(income required route)and time already spent on 10 years route can be counted as qualifying period to be able to get ILR if switched for a route where a person qualify for ILR on completion of 5 years?

Back ground: my daughter was 7 years old when we all had to have been given permission to stay because of the family life that happened back in January 2018 and I am as a father on this route since.
