BRP end date

Hello,

I sponsored worker and he received visa for 5 years.

Today he collected BRP, and his BRP says that it is valid until 31.12.2024.

I saw the same date on my ILR, so I am guessing that something will change on that date (probably current BRPs will need to be replaced or something like that), but can you please confirm if this is ok or if it has been some mistake?

I didn't really care about expiry date on my ILR since I will have passport by then abyway, but he received 5 year visa so I would like to have clarification on 31.12.2024. as end date.
