UK Family Visa Income Proof

Post by azaz449 » Mon Nov 01, 2021 12:13 pm

Hi,

I am willing to apply Family Visa https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa. My wife has an ILR. I am having Pakistani citizenship. The followings are my question

- In the https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/proof-income it is clearly mentioned that annual income should be 18600 pounds per anum. But my and partner both combine income is approx 22000 pounds but receiving in PKR with legitimate sources. Can I apply against that source of income?

- Can I apply for a Family Visa while my wife is in Pakistan having a valid ILR? I know ILR lapses after two years. She visits recently this year.

Only your wife's, who holds ILR, income is considered for a spouse visa. Your income in Pakistan is irrelevant.

If she is working abroad, she also has to provide proof/evidence of a genuine job in the UK to start within 3 months and it must be at the required £18,600pa level.

Can she show self-employment worth through Upwork having more than £18,600pa?
She will also register as a proper taxpayer in the government as self-employment.

Family Visa Requirement in form of income

Post by azaz449 » Wed Jul 06, 2022 9:17 pm

Hi everyone,

My wife is doing the job with the having the amount of almost 20000 pounds per annum. In near future she will be applying for my Family visa
https://www.gov.uk/uk-family-visa/proof-income

I got confused in the proof income section. Do we need only six months' salary slips greater than 18600 or do we need both i.e. Salary slip (greater than 18600) + 16000 pounds as a saving?

Please help me out in this case.

If using income them its employment with income of at least 18,600 per year backed with letter from employer, payslips and bank statements corroborating the payslips.

If she is going to use self-employment, she will need to show a year (12 months) worth of salary statements and bank statements, etc.

If she is in a salaried job, with a fixed monthly income, then she can show 6 months worth of the above.

Hi,
I got another confusion today :(
My wife started her job in august with a salary of 1920 pounds per month. Do I need to wait for a whole year to show earning more than 18600 per anum
OR
Is she needs to find another job to earn more within the time frame of 6 months?

She needs to earn at least 1550 per month(as per current requirement) for 6 months and can apply with the payslip n bank statements

Thanks for your feedback. Is it also possible that she can earn more in some months and for some months she can earn less as she has a job as per houly. But in the mean she will maintain an average more than 1550

The 6 months option is for those with a job that pays a fixed regular salary.

Any other type of earnings (variable per month,self-employment, hourly, second jobs, etc) requires 12 months.
