Spouse visa, Employment ending soon

Applying for a spouse visa for my partner coming in from overseas. My employment is not guaranteed and will terminate at present at the end of the month. Employer has provided an employment letter but states end date of employment. Prior to this the income requirement has been met. Is ongoing employment required? I have secured another job but under the threshold. No savings unfortunately.

Any suggestions?
