Told by who?Mothratito wrote: ↑Sat Jul 16, 2022 12:24 pmI applied for my skilled worker visa from the US, and was told I can complete my BRP by providing biometrics once I arrive in London.
You would have been directed to book a biometric appointment shortly after submission. You have a limited time to do thisI paid all the visa and NHS fees already since I applied on may 31.
Sign-in to your online application and check if you are still within the time limit for providing biometrics (in the US). If you are outside the time limit vary your application which means submitting a new application that will override the previous application (you'll have to pay the fees again but the fees for the initial application will be refunded in due course).
Without biometrics your application is invalid.
Ask the university HR to foot the bill for the costs of returning to the US - they provided incorrect advice.Mothratito wrote: ↑Sun Jul 17, 2022 12:43 pmes I entered as a visitor and was told by my University HR I could provide biometrics here in London.
Is your employer paying for the lawyer? They clearly gave you an incorrect advice from the beginning.Mothratito wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 12:21 pmI spoke to a visa officer in person today and he thought getting a local immigration lawyer involved may be a solution to allow me to provide biometrics and complete my visa without having to return to the US.
