Citizenship Application - submitting while travelling

Post by aet2023 » Thu Feb 02, 2023 9:07 am

I am eligible to apply for Citizenship at the start of April as it will have been one year of ILR. However I will now be travelling on the day that I am eligible. Am I still able to submit my application even if I’m travelling / not in the UK on the date I submit?

Wait until you return otherwise you won't be able to accurately list your absences up to the date of application.

Also worth noting that your eligibility doesn’t expire as long as you reside in the UK under ILR. You can apply in a few weeks, months or even. years. As advised best to apply when you’re in the Uk.
