Application for ILR - Questions

Post by alanc826 » Sun May 07, 2023 3:53 pm

Hi all,

My wife had a spouse visa for 5 years now and is qualified to apply for ILR.

On the ILR form there are some questions which I'm confused about:

1. Asking for social groups/social networks
They want to know what Facebook Groups my wife is part of and her contribution?

2. The income from my rental is just over the threshold
e.g. £19,000
Should I include my employment income as well or is enough?

3. If I do enter my employment details there's a question "Are they directors of a limited company based in the UK?"
They are referring to the employer and not my spouse right?

4. I have stayed that my place of residence is owned and not mortgaged. Do they need proof for this?

Thanks everyone.

1. It has nothing to do with social media. It is social groups in her home country, ie a church group, charity group etc.

2. Have you read appendix 1.7 to fully understand the different financial requirements?

3. Referring to you as the one declaring meeting rhe financial requirement.

4. You need evidence of cohabitation for the last two year in both your names.

@CR001 Thanks. I have read the document. I'm just saying that I have met the requirements but only just. Was wondering if it's worth adding more to make the decision maker more confident.

Thanks for your quick reply. Much appreciated.

@zimba. Thank you!

If I only want to submit proof of my salary from an office job, can I select I am not a director of a limited company even though I am?

Yes, only select what you want to claim

I'm stuck at the same point as you are. Should I proceed the application with stating "No" as the director of a limited company and hang on to my full time job income, which is more than adequate for the financial threshold? much appreciated

We can not repeat the same advice over and over again. The answer as you see above is very clear. Selecting unnecessary options means you get extra documents being requested in the document list at the end of your application
