Date of Application - ILR

Hi All,

What is the date of the ILR application considered by the Home Office? Is it the date of online submission or the date of biometrics?

Understand if anyone travels outside the UK when the visa application is submitted, it is treated as withdrawn.

I have a valid BRP will 2 Sept 2023 and prepared my online application. I can submit it any day. I have to travel out of the UK in August and return on 21 Aug 2023. If I submit an online ILR application now, book biometrics after 21 Aug, and meanwhile travel outside the UK for 3 weeks, will my application be treated as withdrawn?

It's not clear on the Legislations or UKBA website. Request some expert advice on the above.

The date of application is the date you submit and pay online. It is NOT the biometric appointment date.
