Ilr 28 days rule

Post by Malon2023 » Sun Oct 01, 2023 4:25 pm

Hi

My spouse arrive in uk in Sept on fiance and granted her spouse visa on 30th oct 2018

We are looking to apply super priority next day and according to my calculations 2nd october is within 28 days and earliest we can apply. We plan to do it on 3rd before massive fee increase

Can someone double check my calculations and let me know if I have got it wrong?

Once you pay for visa a fee of 2.5k , would they have appoint available next day or need to book one which can be few week’s away? In a way the super priority is a rip off as it is not next day rather next day from appointment

Yes, the date is correct.

Super priority service is a visa processing service and never had anything to do with biometrics. Super priority means you can expect to get a decision within 24 hours of enrolling your biometrics. So until you submit your biometrics, super-priority service is not relevant !!

Biometrics collection is handled by third-party UKVCAS and has nothing to do with visa processing service (standard, priority, etc.). Availability of UKVCAS appointment slots depends on the UKVCAS centre chosen and their availability

Noted thanks

So say we apply on 3rd oct, would we pay full fee then or pay the £2400ish and then pay the super priority fee when we book the appointment?

I know visa fee is going up by £400 and super priority by £200 to 1000
So on 3rd I submit, we pay 2.5k and depending on availability of ukvcs pay £800 if on 3rd they have a slot or £1000 if it is after third?

You pay the super priority, if available, when you pay the application fee.

It has nothing to do with ukcvas and is not a fee you can pay later after submitting and paying just the ilr fre application.

No. You choose a standard application or a super-priority application before you submit your application. This is a visa processing fee (it simply determines the speed of your visa processing AFTER biometrics). Your biometrics has NOTHING to do with this. I was very clear on this :?
