ILR SET(O) - Employer letter with promotions? T2 -> ILR

Post by anotherbozo » Mon Jan 22, 2024 12:15 pm

Hi, seeking help here on what the employer letter should look like if I have been promoted since receiving the Tier 2 visa? These promotions have been within the same SOC code.

Here is the draft I have now
To whom it may concern

Re: UKVI - Confirmation of employment in support of Indefinite Leave to Remain application

Name: xxx
Nationality: xxx
Passport No: xxx

COS number: xxx
SOC: xxx
Current Annual Salary: xxx

Please accept this letter as confirmation that Mr xxx has been employed by [company] since xxx on a full-time permanent contract.

Mr xxx receives a gross annual salary of £xxx. We can confirm that his post falls within SOC code xxx and the pay is above the appropriate rate for the job, as stated in the codes of practice for Skilled Worker Sponsors.

We require Mr xxx to continue to fill his post on a full-time basis and can confirm that the post is required long term. He will also be paid his current salary of £xxx for the foreseeable future.

The [company] Sponsorship Licence number is xxx.

Should you require further information or confirmation of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email address] or on [phone number].
As you can see, this doesn't make any reference to job title. Is that important? Not including them keeps the letter simple.

If I need to ensure the letter outlines any changes in job title, what would be the best way to show that? I've had 4 change in titles (only 2 of them were actual promotions with salary change, the other two were just company's standardisation of job titles). Salary has also been changed with annual increments.

Thanks!

I have seen that but unfortunately didn't find an answer to my question, specifically whether job title(s) need to be mentioned in the letter; or is confirming the SOC code is sufficient.

The link tells you ALL you need to know, so if it does not say it is needed then it is not needed as per the rules.
Tier 2 does NOT exist anymore, so you better not go back to the old requirements or what used to be required :!:
