Citizenship clock after ILR

Hello,

When you apply for and obtain ILR, when does the clock count start for the 12 months residency requirement for naturalization?
-When your previous leave ended
-when IRL was granted

Also, if ILR is granted BEFORE your previous leave ended, would you still wait to start counting when the previous leave ended?

Likewise, if ILR is granted AFTER your previous leave ended, would you retract the clock count?

It is the ilr grant date. When the previous visa expires is irrelevant.
