Immigration Rule Info and Travel During Citizenship Application Process

Post by Gana13 » Sat May 17, 2025 9:59 am

Hi,

I have got my ILR few years back. I have bene planning to apply for Citizenship, but havent applied yet.

Now as there are continuous changes in the process, I am planning to get British Citizenship ASAP.

Have couple of queries and if you could clarify that would be great.
1. As part of the recent immigration changes, are there any key changes to Citizenship application which i should consider/aware of?
2. Can I and family travel outside of UK (for 4-6 weeks max, as planning for summer holiday) during the application process (after applying for the Citizenship)

Myself - ILR
Spouse - ILR
1st son - ILR
2nd son - British Citizen (born in UK)

Many thanks in advance..!

Citizenship is not part of the immigration rules. There are currently no changes to citizenship legislation and laws.

You are free to travel after applying.
