Main Applicant under ILR route but dependent needs to wait for another 8 months for ILR

Hi,

I am the main applicant currently applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) via the Skilled Worker route. My wife and daughter are not yet eligible for ILR and need a short extension of their Skilled Worker Dependant visas (approx. 8 months) to reach their 5-year qualifying period.

While completing their online Skilled Worker Dependant extension applications, I am unsure how to complete the main applicant visa details section correctly:

Main Applicant Visa & End Date: The form asks for the main applicant's current visa details and expiry date (which expires in 1 month). Since I am applying for ILR, how should this section be completed so the system correctly processes their application and calculates the required Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)?

Visa Type Selection: Should the dependants' application still be selected as a Skilled Worker Dependant extension, or does a different selection need to be made on the form to link it to my pending ILR application?

Could you please advise on the correct entries to ensure their applications are linked seamlessly to my UAN and avoid any processing delays or incorrect fee calculations?

Your dependent applies for a 3 year skilled worker dependent visa extension. There is no shorter duration option.

You put a date 3 years in the future to get the correct ihs.

Thanks what should be the start date for the visa , my original skilled worker visa started 5 years back

The visa start date is the day of the application (when you submit and pay). Then put a date three years in the future for the visa duration and appropriate IHS calculation.
