Spouse Visa - Evidence for Accomodation

Post by brandnew » Fri Jul 29, 2011 10:13 am

Hi,
I am sharing house with my friend. The house has 5 bedrooms out of which one is occupied by me and one by my friend who lives with his wife and 2 year old kid, all other rooms are empty (requires a little refurbhishment) and he has no plans to let them out at this stage. He is ok if my wife joines me when she arrives UK and accepted to provide any letter for the purpose of visa.

1) All bills are paid by my friend and i dont have any utility bills/council tax on my name but i have my bank statements as proof of my residence, can anybody advice if this is a considered as a suitable accomodation for the purpose of visa?

2) What should be provided as a proof of evidence, letter, agreement ? Any specific format?

Any help would be highly appreciated

Thanks Vinny,

Do you know of any cases similar to this and successful?

What should be the proof of evidence?

Cheers

Hi there,

I was told that my landlord whom i live with had to provide the following:

Tenancy agreement (stating that my hubby was ok to live there too)

letter of authoristaion (saying that she was the property owner/ how long i have lived there/ suitable accomodation for me and my hubby)

Mortgage statement (to show proof it is her property) ORIGINAL

Photos of each room

We used an immigration lawyer for our application, and we were told this was suitable

Good luck!!!

:D
Alhamdulilah for habibi..

Hello friends,

There is a change in the plan. I am no longer living with my friend who lives with his wife and kid, i moved to another location near to where i work and i currently share with other people.

My friend is still ready to provide a letter to mention that he is happy to accommodate me and wife when she arrives in UK and provide any other documentation that may help support my application.

Now, the questions are

1) Can this be considered as a valid proof of accommodation requirement as i am not currently living there?

2) My Bank statements and mobile phone communication address is my current address(where i currently live) and on payslips my office address . Is it important/required that all the addresses ( accommodation letter and bank statement/mobile/payslips etc ) must be the same address?

Thanks again for answering my questions

Just make sure how big the property is i.e. in some or the other statement make sure you state the property is a 3 bed or 4 bed.

My wife's visa got rejected that no where it states how big the property is.

The property must be available AT the time of arrival of the applicant in the UK

HI batleykhan,
Thanks for your response. So you see no problem with the below?

1) Can this be considered as a valid proof of accommodation requirement as i am not currently living there?

2) My Bank statements and mobile phone communication address is my current address(where i currently live) and on payslips my office address . Is it important/required that all the addresses ( accommodation letter and bank statement/mobile/payslips etc ) must be the same address?
