14 Years qualify. what are my options?

Hi All,

I have a concern regarding how to put forward my long residency application. I need help from distinguished members here. You have been recommended by a friend of mine that found solace here in the past.

My situation: I entered the UK illegally in 1998 Feb, and worked under the name I came in with (my cousin who is UK born but living abroad then) until I changed the name by deed poll at my place of work (no longer working there) around 2001. I still use the same NI as him though as I don't have one of mine.

I have since met and in a long term relationship with 2 British born children with a British woman. We have been living together for 6 years and the children are 4 and 2 respectively.

My dilemma is that should I proceed with the long residency application SET (O) or would I be better qualified under FLR (M) or even returning to my home country to apply for a spousal visa?.

Please help.

Can i suggest talk to an immigration solicitor as soon as you can who will advice you of your options.

I think the best you could hope for is DLR but maybe your solicitor after seeing all the evidence you have and your circumstances will put in an ILR application.Try and avoid entry clearance if you can.


You may qualify for legal aid or alternatively you could hire your own solicitor.
