ILR at Croydon PEO - 23 March - BRP Received

Post by CR001 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 7:00 pm

Hi all,

A quick update that ILR was granted today on Set(M) for myself and my dependent. Total time at PEO from arrival to leaving = 3 hours

Very impressed with caseworker handling my application and paperwork.

Now I can apply for naturalisation as BC and I will start reading that pack of papers this weekend!!!

Many thanks
C.

Hi Sunil,

Thanks, its been a long hard stressful time from when we decided to move to the UK in March 2008.

Yes, you do normally have to wait a year on ILR before citizenship but I have been in the UK for 3 years and 3 months to the day, details below :

29 Dec 2008 - Entered UK same time as BC spouse (married for 1 yr and 3 months at this stage) on UK Ancestry visa
14 April 2010 - Switched in country at PEO Croydon to Spouse visa
23 March 2012 - ILR granted as spouse of BC

I now qualify for naturalisation as BC as I have met the residential requirement of 3 years as spouse of BC.

All ready to go on this last hurdle, just need to get the cash together!!

Kind regards

C.
