Wife Citizenship

Post by bariahshaw » Wed Aug 26, 2020 9:30 pm

Hi,

I got British citizenship on asylum rout of 5 years. I have my wife and one baby born here. My wife is dependent on me. More than a year ago, as I got ILR, my wife applied and she also got ILR.
She has ILR now from more than one year. As I mentioned I am British citizen now, my question is when My wife can apply for Naturalisation/British citizenship?! People are scaring me by saying she cannot apply for British citizenship, she needs to wait for five years and if she applied she will lose application fee.
Please help me in confusing time and I would be thankful for your support.

Thank you

Thank you.

She is living in the UK since 11/05/2016 and never out from UK. She got ILR on 01-02-2018.

Thank you

Are these dates are correct?

Yes. I checked her ILR and date when started living here. She came on spouse visa of an asylum seeker by that time I had been granted 5 years visa.
