New born baby dependent visa

Dear all
We had a baby boy who is 2 months old
Got few questions on dependent visa application please help

1. Do i need to show maintenance funds,,, if so how long and how much
2. How long it takes to get the visa for dependents
3. What other documents i need to provide to apply for my baby
4. Is there any time limit before which i need to apply for this visa ( i need to apply still for indian passport)

There is no requirement to apply, if child is not travelling.
