I have recently registered on this forum as this seems to be the best way to keep myself informed while I await the outcome of my application. Here's my timeline:

We made a joint application EEA(PR) for EEA spouse and EEA(FM) for myself on 2/9/2015
Application Received 3/9/2015
Acknowledgment letter for Spouse received 12/9/2015 (No acknowledgment for myself)
Biometrics letter received :16/09/2015 (sent a request for a new one same day as details were incorrect).
New Biometrics letter -pending
Thanks Ayeesha, that's helpful. What's the date on your first biometric letter? And when were your payments deducted from the bank?

Now time to book some holidays as weather started to get miserable in the UK, I need little escape for a week.
Yesterday was my day, got RC and passed my probation review and now i have visa and I am regular employee.
congratulations it is well deserved with vacation now, and congratulations with regular employment. Now you can enjoy your holiday :D

I am curious how BRC looks like
I've seen that many get their mail the day after the letter is dated, where in UK is you live since you receive the item as fast. Do you live near liverpool?[/quote]

These letters that people are getting informing them the the RC will arrive within 10 days, will the DVLA accept them in lieu of the actual RC? (plus a copy of the RC)

And another question: if you lose your RC (or the DVLA loses it), will the HO replace it within a short period of time or will you have to apply again as if for a new RC with all the supporting documents and wait again 5-6 months?

I'm asking because I don't want to send my RC to the DVLA, I've read online that they lose documents.

Thanks!
You dont need to send RC to DVLA whatsoever.
You just need valid ID ( in your case it is your passport).

Could you give me some info on my email regarding lincence? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
thanks
Even a tourist can get british driving licence. It is not related with your immigration status in the UK.

Too much hassle to get licence via DVLA

Hello,

I would like to share my timeline for RC application. I'm a non-EEA citizen and my husband is Irish. I have requested his passport back and received within 10 days. I have received COA and waiting for RC. We just received an invitation from our friends who are getting married at the end of November. I would like to go back to Ireland with my husband for friends' wedding. Can I request my passport back? Will that affect my RC application?

Thanks a million,

Application sent: 06.08.15
Payment taken: 07.08.15
EEA Passport requested: 19.08.15
EEA Passport received: 29.08.15
COA: 11.09.15
My husband is an EEA citizen, RC for me
RC: Pending

Hi Dubstar,

Both you and your wife's passports returned? Would that affect your wife's application?
My husband is Irish too. I have requested his passport back and received it. I want to request my passport back but don't know whether will affect my application.

Thanks a mil

I have just same timetable as yours received CoA 14/09/15. Very quick biometric letter and delayed CoA. I also send e-mails recent weeks. When I called 0300 number HO worker on phone suggest me put "urgent" in subject part and explain about delay.

I thought delay related with my request of passport. Even my wife EU passport arrive a few days after request but I had to write e-mail to ask my passport after 10 working days of request.

Actually I can now answer my own question as my partner just forwarded me an email from HO, with the acknowledgement. No email for me either, so seems to be the norm?

Email came from hocommunications@communications.homeoffice.gov.uk

Any more good news from april applicants?

if I do not receive anything in the post tomorrow or next week it means there are signs that home office suspect something and want us to interview. Which will certainly be some time before we get RC :x

Passport requested: 03.09.15
