PBS Dependent visa extension when Main applicant going for ILR

Post by aben » Wed Dec 26, 2018 3:38 pm

Hi All,

My spouse and Kids have PBS Dependents their visa which expires on 16th March 2019, main applicant visa expires on same date 16 March 2019.

1. What are options available to do the PBS Extension when Main applicant apply for the ILR with the new UKVI Service Centers ?

2. what is the latest time to submit their PBS Extension online visa application ?

3. should they have their appointment before 16th March 2019 or before their visa expired ? I read somewhere that within two months they should have their appointment after their online application submission ?

thanks in advance

hi,

appreciate if someone can help me on this, after going through this forum I have the following options / understanding on PBS Dependent extension & main applicant to apply ILR.

option 1: Main applicant submit the online application & book the appointment as early as possible (within qualified period) with super priority service, then wait for the decision made on ILR application, once the BRP received apply for the PBS Dependents Extension.

in this option 1, not guarantee I would get the ILR decision before dependent's visa expires.

option 2: Apply Main applicant ILR and PBS Dependent extension same day, asking Home office / caseworker to hold the PBS Dependent extension application until the decision on main applicant's ILR is made ?
this was the case in the old postal application system, is this still valid with the new system ?

not sure how to make such request to hold the application processing ?

option 3: go for option 1 then PBS Dependent extension submit the online applications before the visa expires but delay the appointment of PBS Dependent till get the decision on main applicant ILR application ?

It would be really helpful if someone can give some clue or guide on this ? actually this new system confuses a lot

thank you in advance

Hi All,

I spoke to the UKVI and they advised for Option 1, however I can see there is no guarantee whether the main applicant would receive BPP on time ?

could anyone please share your thoughts ?

thanks in advance

Questions in PBS Dependent extension form when Main applicant ILR is pending

Post by aben » Wed Jan 30, 2019 8:54 pm

Hi All,

please help with the questions in the PBS Dependent extension form if the main applicant ILR decision is not received / waiting. ( Main applicant is Tier 2 general 5 years route)

1) Mr. XYZ's current UK immigration status

Which visa or permission to stay has Mr. XYZ applied for or been granted?

answer: Tier 2 (General) leave to remain

1.1) Do you have one of these Home Office reference numbers for Mr. XYZ.

a) Yes, I have their biometric residence permit (BRP) number
b) Yes, I have their entry clearance number
c) No, I do not have a Home Office reference number for them

2) Does Mr. XYZ have indefinite leave to remain or British citizenship?
should I say No or Yes? if I No selected I have to put COS details.

please share your answers.

thank you in advance

1. I think yes it should be tier 2

1.1 a

2. Better to not tick any answer and then in additional information section or in covering letter mention the fact
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Hi All,

I have another question from the PBS Dependent Extension online form,
under the section, The person you are joining or accompanying.

1. Has Mr xxx yyy's sponsor agreed to certify your maintenance?
here should I select Yes or No

2. Can I choose the existing service to post all documents to avoid traveling Croyden (we don't drive still)

thanks in advance.

Hi

can anyone give me the required document list for PBS Dependent extension, please ?

do we still need cohabitation, we didn't provide when we extend last time in 2016? As I didn't think about this, the only document I have is Tenancy agreement, and we both bank accounts so we can get the statement from our own account?

And I have a 2015 Themswater bill after that they somehow missed my wife as the additional account holder, I have added now and got a statement for Feb 2019? both statement enough?

thank you in advance.

PBS Dependent visa extension Main applicant received ILR on Tier 2

Post by aben » Sat Feb 23, 2019 8:28 am

Hi All,

need your help,

I received my ILR last week and my family needs PBS Dependant extension, we extended in 2016 for 3 years and need one more year for them to go ILR.

1. document checklist, last time we gave only the maintenance letter from the sponsor, + passport + photos.

2. do we need cohabitation proof, we didn't provide when we extend last time in 2016? As I didn't think about this, the only document I have is Tenancy agreement, and we both bank accounts so we can get the statement from our own account?

And I have a 2015 Themswater bill after that they somehow missed my wife as the additional account holder, I have added now and got a statement for Feb 2019? both statement enough?

3) with the new service, I am thinking to apply all in a single application, regarding the appointments, should I take 3 appointments for my 2 kids and wife? not sure how to make it ?

4) Can I apply by post with the existing system if this is easy compared to the booking appointments system?

5) if apply by post should I post my Passport and BRP as well?

please advise

thank in advance
