Another T4 visa

hi
situation: T4 to T2 (employment terminated)
wan to apply for another T4 but not sure how to prove academic progression...first MSC in software development...why can I not do another MSC in another subject within software development, why does it have to be research or phd...

is there a way out...can do ESOL with short term visa (11months) but no rights to work....
eventual goal is to get ILR.... ideally through T2 visa...

please advise...

The cooling off period only applies to tier 2 applications.
You can attempt to return on a Short Term Student visa - but expect it to be refused. You have a Masters, passed the English language requirement for tier 2 so why would you expect to study ESOL and it being considered credible.

Even on SSV you can’t apply for ILR so that is a fail before you even start.

You can. See the Tier 4 Policy Guidance, paragraphs 73-78 "Studying at the same level".

This suggests that the problem with getting Tier 4 sponsorship would not be academic progression but may be credibility.
