Spouse Visa Renewal/Extension Income Requirement

Post by klite12 » Thu Mar 21, 2019 5:54 pm

Hi guys,

My question is that my wife’s spouse visa is due for renewal in June 2020. She is not employed as of right now and my income is £9,000. We intend on combining our income to meet the requirement of £18,600.

Does my wife need to be in employment 12 months before renewal or 6 months?

Thanks!

Where does it state this?? 12 months required if combining two different jobs if current employment is less than 6 months, as far as I understand.

Thanks for the quick reply!

So, if she gets a job say by August/September 2019 and has relevant payslips from December 2018 -June 2020 this should be fine for our renewal in June 2020? Combined with my payslips at my current job (I would have been here for 3 years).

Yes you both can combine your incomes if both of you have worked for your employer for at least 6 months till the date of application under category A.

So I can do Cat A application when combining both mine and my spouses income towards the Spouse Visa extension/renewal? Assuming both of our combined income is over £18,600.

All we need is for her to be in employment for 6 months or above prior to the date of application?
