FLR FP - Renewal requirements for divorce parent with court order

Post by HelloEveryone » Wed Oct 27, 2021 2:14 pm

hi guys
I am divorced and have been in the UK for 16 years. I had to reset my immigration record and currently on FLR -FP (Further Leave to remain parent route ) and coming up to my first renewal. My daughter is 13 and has her UK passport (which my ex wife refuses to give me a copy despite a court order) I do have Parent Responsiblity and named on her Birth

Moving forward. I see my daughter regularly (post and pre covid) and have a 1st class relationship. She lives in another city with her mum and we communicate regularly via whatsapp, text, phone and I have regular pictures/video visits and blow one another kisses. And earn above the required salary range

Most of all, I have 2 court orders 2014 and 2020. Which clearly states, mum is happy with contact and contact MUST progress. And that I am too kind a father - stated by my ex wife.

What requirements do I need for my renewal ? As much as possible I dont want to get my daughter involved

thank you
Ed

flr-fp fees ??? Is it possible to pay in installemnts ?

Post by HelloEveryone » Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:29 pm

Hello guys

With regards the Home Office fees, for FLR-FP: is it possible to pay in installments? (or make a commitment to the HO to pay in 3 installements ? )

As since I have to pay your fees also, I cant afford to fork out for both HO and solicitors ?##
Kind regards
DAve

No it is not. You have to pay the full application fees and IHS fees when you apply and submit online.

You don't need a solicitor for most applications.

Pay by credit card? Or by overdraft to the bank?

Then you can make payments in installments to the credit card company/bank.

The Home Office is unlikely to want to set up a banking division in addition to its current responsibilities.

I dont have either cc or OD. My credit history is just being rebuilt, and I am paying off debt caused by my divorce, though I earn a handsome salary now

You may have to borrow the money from some other sources then.

As mentioned, the Home Office is not a banking institution and does not have tie-ups with banking institutions to provide credit facilities.

I know, that for (people who dont have the money) the fee waiver. When I first applied, I was told to spread out the payment then. But I inisisted I didnt have the money. Hence was finally granted

Now I am working (unlike back then) But, today I am still paying off a backlog of debt (almost finished) and was hoping I could spread it out as before. But in 3 months or so

If not, I will talk to my bank in the course of the week or pawn my car

My ex wife wont give me a copy of my kid's UK passport

Post by HelloEveryone » Sun Nov 28, 2021 6:49 pm

Hi guys
I am trying to renew my FLR - FP visa and got stuck on the page, asking for my kids UK passport details

I asked my ex wife and she refused to give me the details

I had taken her to court earlier and an order was given and she also promised to corperate with contact

My visa expires next month, what do I do ? as If I take her back to court there would be a wait period ???

thanks
Ed

You must make an application before your leave expires else you would become an overstayer and lose all work rights, etc.

If you are renewing, then what did you provide previously?

When I first applied. My kids passport was pending

Now they all have their passports. I took my ex wife to court last year and the judge said it's not a pre-requisite she gives me a copy

My visa expires this December. I started the renewal over the weekend and got stuck.

Unless I chose the option they dont have a passport and add the court order with an explanation???

Yes. Explain you don’t have sight of kids’ passport, etc.

I just called the HO and spoke to an adviser and he said the same, so I will attach both the court order and the email from my ex wife refusing to give it to me and say no I dont have her passport

She finally gave me a copy of the passports and I have made my online applicaiton

I am shocked to find out the costs

HO fees - £1,033
NHS fee - £1,560
Biometrics - £125

Close to £3,000 in all that has gone out of my bank account this morning, just for one applicant. Shocking. :(

I start to think if an applicant pays for NHS 3 years in advance and is refused what happens ?

Also are there no options to pay year by year. I feel like my right arm has been taken out :(

If an application is refused, the IHS fees are refunded.

As CR001 wrote, if refused it gets refunded.
PS: The IHS you paid will come in handy for the treatment of that right arm of yours 😉

You may save the £125 by choosing a free UKVACS appointment. It's fine for your biometric appointment to happen after current visa expiry as long as you submitted the application form before expiry date.

You may cancel and reschedule if you want and you do not need the visa urgently to travel or for other purposes, although the refund will be £10 less.

The fee waiver still exists https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... fee-waiver, but this should be applied for before submitting visa application.

I dont want to cancel, I want to get this all over with. I will never qualify for a fee waiver.

What I want to know now is

1. Is my application complete after I have paid ?

- I was redirected to IHS website to pay over £1,500
- Redirected back to HO website to pay £1,033
- Then given a ref number

2. I was not told its complete, I just was told to ensure I submit my docs and others before feb 2nd and I was given a ref number

thanks

It's complete after you uploading all required documents and attending biometric appointment. Then wait for decision email and if successful BRP.
