Application Parent Information

Post by James10101995 » Wed Aug 24, 2022 3:25 pm

Hello,

I am filling in my application for naturalisation, however, I am stuck on the question regarding providing information about my parents. I do not know my parent's DATE and the City of Birth and there's no way to get access to that information. When I applied for ILR they didn't ask for a date or city of birth, I am pretty sure I provided their names and stuff. Can I just leave two questions these empty?

Also, I was granted by ILR on 13 September 2021 so I can make the application on 13 or wait till 14?

You can say "not known" - it's not an issue.
Yes, you can apply on the ILR anniversary date or anytime after (there's no due date by which you have to apply - it's a voluntary application), but don't rush, take your time and get everything as correct as possible.
Also review the AN guidance, if not done so already: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... n-guidance

Quick question regarding refers -

Do they need to sign some sort of form? or filling their information on the online application form is enough?

If, yes how do I go about getting that form?

Sorry my bad, I guess I did not word it properly. I meant the two references I am using. Do they need to sign any form?

Yes, they need to each sign the form. You then have to scan and upload them with your supporting documents.

You can also have your referees sign the whole thing directly on the PDF, no need to scan. See this post.

Quick question about referees again.

I am using my friend and his girlfriend's dad as my two references. Will it be classed as they are related to each other or relative or is it okay to use them both?

Referees cannot be related to each other.

Hey, I am filling in my application, which asks for my BPR. There's one question regarding

- Place of issue

Yet, there is no "place of issue" on my BPR.

just to make sure it is my residence permit that I got with my ILR ?

Also, about previous applications, if I made any. How many do I fill in? all of them I don't remember all of them.

For example

Do I need to fill it in all student visa applications I made or just say one student visa one child student visa?

just to make sure it is my residence permit that I got with my ILR ? That's your evidence of ILR/permanent residence.

All. If you can't remember, don't have details add a note about this and load with your documents.

Proof of living in the UK for Mr XXXX for 5 years if applying in your own right.

What document do I need to provide for this?

I am uploading documents through the IDV app; I was wondering if I could use my BRP for ID verification?

Also, a question regarding proof of living in the UK for five years.

Can I attach my degree? I don't think I have an old confirmation of study letter.
