With a joint income of £35k, it is unlikely you will qualify for much in terms of benefits. Your household income will be used to calculate any entitlement and you must declare your spouse and their income as you are not 'single'.

You can claim child benefits in YOUR name.
Very good reply.

Re: What benefits I am eligible to get ?

You may be able to claim benefits but believe me it will effect your wife's and child's extention of ILR application.

Best is to go through the painful process of getting ILR for them and then apply for full and all benefits.

Good luck mate !!!

Re: extended family member of an EEA national

There could be a lot of complication whilst proofing the dependency.

You'll have to show a long term dependency and emotional attachment will also help.

Lost his job is not good enough to sponsor him to join you in England.

Good luck mate.

Re: Renew RC: apply as family member or extended family member?

Sorry for your frustation mate, I guess you won't have problems of you apply to extend it as you already were issued with an RC before.

Try explaining the situation in a covering letter and hope you get a decent case worker.

Good luck mate.

Sorry no one replied to you.

Re: Can i travel with my eu spouse after eea family premit refusal?

Yes I guess you can but you'll need to have your original mariage certificate with you and you will find it difficult for the airlines to board you.

It's best if you apply for a schengine visa from your spouses home country's embassy.

Good luck.

I am a non-EU unmarried partner of an EU National who has a retained rights status. What exactly do you mean by 'retained rights status'? Were you married to another EU national and after divorce applied for RoR? I am sorry there has been an error in writing the previous post. It is not retained ri...

UNMARRIED NON EU Partner of an EU National claiming benefits

Hello, I hope you would be fine. I wanted to ask you if you could help me in clarifying an ambiguity. I am a non-EU unmarried partner of an EU National who has a retained rights status. My partner has a 5-year-old child who lives with us. We live in a Council House and are council tenants. After rep...
