Re: Planing to exercise Free Movement to Ireland as British citizen

You need to show dependency and for exercising Eu treaty rights, you need to be employed in Ireland or studying or living with sufficient funds along with medical insurance. Now sending money from U.K. account is not very clever since you want to show Ireland as centre of your life. Time is running ...

Re: Can A UK Visa Overstayer Join Relatives In Ireland?

You cannot get a visa from Irish embassy in uk if you living there illegally now. Even if you are dependent on your uncle you can’t just travel with him to Ireland. Eu treaty rights won’t apply here as your uncle is Irish. If somehow you still enter Ireland through NI, you will be committing immigra...

I think they contact the referees Extremely rarely. I applied in 2018 and attended the ceremony in Waterford earlier this year. My referees weren’t contacted .

Re: Additional documents sent to the address for applications

I did sent it by registered post - It was signed and received on Oct 9th at TIPPERARY D.S.U. CO TIPPERARY and there is a person's name who signed and collected the post. But that's unfortunately the post box they use to receive applications so I'm afraid my post could have ended up somewhere at the ...

Re: Is Ce scheme can effect your citizenship application if you sign in

I don’t think it will effect as long as you disclose everything on the form but citizenship process is not very transparent and it is difficult to say what may or may not affect your application

Do you have no other Irish colleague or friend who is still resident in Ireland. Although they do not contact the referees, but I remember someone posting on this forum that their referee was contacted. Tbh that is the only person I heard telling that the refree was contacted. But if I were you, I w...

Re: Reply letter from EU3 application please help

Leaving job just before applying eu3 wasn’t a smart move especially when you did not take the insurance either staraightaway. Neways when was the last salary received as generally the holidays due or any other variable pay due is paid after a month of leaving. You can show the last payslip as the le...

Re: Eu4 application for review appeal of eu1 application

You should provide all the documents you have to support your case. Did you have private comprehensive insurance covering the period of unemployment. You will struggle with your appeal if you did not have it. As for your family, write to eutr informing them that your family’s visa expires in Feb and...

Re: INIS treating Pakistanis and Africans differently?

They will blame it on fatf. Iran, Sudan and Syria are blacklisted countries. Pakistan and Cuba are in very high risk countries. Even for bank accounts, all their accounts are monitored and reviewed annually and so many accounts are closed by banks due to transactions to these countries or lots of ca...

You will be fine tax wise as well as there is double taxation agreement between U.K. and Ireland. Guessing you are paye employee in U.K. you will have to fill tax return in Ireland and u will get tax credit for the tax paid in U.K. if you are unsure, use a tax advisor or accountant for the returns

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

If appealed, it would only be for decision against Jones and hopefully will not affect interpretation of continuous residence. Unless justice Barrett takes offence and appeals against the decision. 😜
The court ruling does imply that dail need to legislate for it so there is no confusion for applicants

Let’s wait for ministers response now. I am sure he will reply given the media coverage. I still think that ceremony this year is bit ambitious given the logistics and Christmas time

Yes they have upheld the judgement. So not a good news for our Aussie friend. But they have found the ruling in continuous residence unworkable and minister discretion will apply as before earlier judgement

Re: Court rules "continuous residence" means you CANNOT LEAVE IRELAND AT ALL for year before application

Logistically, it is very difficult to have ceremony this year . And people would have Christmas holidays. I think earliest possibility in feb/mar next year. They will have to do 5-6 ceremonies next year to clear the backlog
