Just to clarify the second option - EEA Permanent Residence status is not valid to 10 years. It is the confirmation sticker that is valid for 10 year. The EEA PR status is similar to UK ILR status and is valid as long as you don't leave the UK for more than 2 years. Once you have achieved PR status,...

LC20 is not a minor offence. I presume this was driving on international licence without having a valid UK one after spending more than one year in the UK. You will need to wait for 5 years after conviction - October 2012. Otherwise, most chances are that your application will get rejected. You can ...

Did you try to contact the council and ask them? I would not worry too much. If you weren't listed on the bills, then you would not be listed in any legal process related to it. I would doubt it if the HO will contact the council to ask if there are any debts from the addresses you provide. I also d...

There used to be in the past different passport application forms depending on your application but sometimes people used the wrong form so a one-fit-all application form was introduced which means there are sections in the form that might not be relevant to your application. Having said that, if yo...

usually you pay for 10 years and get a 5 year passport for a child. once the 5 years are up you apply for another 5 year one at no extra charge. it is just to allow a new photo to be used as kids have the habit of looking a bit different after 5 years.. Not correct. Children passports are only vali...

I presume the agency your are referring to is "VFS Global". They just act as service providers for the UK Border Agency in administrating the applications. They are not the ones who make the decisions. Most likely, they are not used to deal with EU citizens and their family member but with Indians o...

For information about EU citizens (and their families) rights in the UK, you can read the information in the UK Border Agency web site. It's quite clear there. See here Answering your questions: - You don't need to be in the UK first. You can travel together (it is even advisable to travel together)...

You can but why take a risk if it doesn't reach the HO on time? wait until you return.

There is no discretion with this requirement. Failing to meet it, and you lose your application fee. I hope your solicitor has explained this issue to you. Otherwise he is not doing a very good job.

You must be physically present in the UK on the day the application reaches the HO. When applying using NCS, they require you not to travel for 5 days just to make sure that you are present in the UK when the application reaches the HO (post delay, weekend etc).

You either leave the UK in one year time or apply for extension of your visa.
You child will only be entitled to apply for British citizenships if the conditions mentioned above are met. Just the fact that he will be born in the UK doesn't give him any rights.
