I have lived in Thailand for around 17 years with my Wife. We have been together in a partnership for nearly 17 years and have been married for 12 years. We have a 15 year old son who has dual nationality. He is currently in School in the UK. I have moved back to the UK with him last year while we sell the house in Thailand. We have now got a buyer and the house sale is going through.
I want my wife to come to the UK on a settlement Visa but I have read that we need 62,500 GBP's in the bank for 6 months to show we have enough money because. Has I am not yet working here. (Not really possible to work in the UK just yet as I am still traveliing back and forth to sell the house and arrange belongs to be shipped back to UK) but don't see any problems with finding work here in the future.
I have enough money in the bank but it has not beein in there for 6 months yet as it's partly from the sale of the house.
My Question:
Is it worth applying for a settlement Visa now for my wife if the funds have not been in the bank for 6 months?
