Hello,
I'm interested in an ancestry visa through my mothers' side of the family (my grandfather was born in Scotland).
I received a copy of his entry in the register of births, however his name is not spelled the same as how it was spelled for the remainder of his life after immigrating to Canada.
On his birth certificate, his last name is spelled McDonald... However, on my mother's birth certificate, his last name is spelled MacDonald. How much of an issue will this cause me for applying for an ancestry visa, and is there anything I can do to make the process easier for myself and those reviewing my application?
