As you were born before January 1st 1986, my understanding (unless I have misunderstood) is that you would be British by birth. Are you sure you were naturalised as British citizen? And not just British by birth? Yes that should be my case, British by birth but thought the two thinks went together. Thanks...I'll proceed with the requestvinny wrote:t seems that you are automatically British otherwise than by descent (assuming that your parents were non-diplomats) and your daughter is automatically British by descent.
