Having family during spouse probation period for settlement

Post by humbleguy » Sat May 02, 2015 10:22 pm

Hey all,
if we have kids during the 5 years in the UK after my wife arrives before she is settled properly, do we have to meet financial requirements for our childrens as well or it is only my wife that I have to care about? I didnt know the FLR was as strict or even more than the Entry clearance. This government is gone on a mad hunt to stop people from being together.

Do you have ILR or are you British?

Answer to above and to your question will depend on your status and where the children might be born, ie UK or abroad.

The sponsor is british, no kids so far, we plan to have family in the UK once we are together, given the complications it causes we stayed away from that move

Therefore children will automatically British and will NOT be included in the financial requirement you/your spouse needs to meet for the FLR(M) extension or ILR.

Is your spouse here already?

Hey sorry, for the delayed response. No she is not here yet. I am just peaking in the future, if it is very hard to live here, I might consider moving out completely from the UK. This place is not what it seems anymore
