Can those on ILR sponsor a fiance visa? I've no idea!Casa wrote:You wouldn't qualify for a fiance (engagement) visa as you will already be legally married and unable to marry again in the UK. Assuming you meet all the requirements, you should apply for a Spouse Settlement visa after the wedding.

You will see in the link that the visa fee will be £956.00 and in addition you will also have to pay the new NHS Surcharge of £600 online before submitting your visa application.

1. Marry in India and apply for spouse visa from India on form VAF4A
2. Bring her here on fiancee visa, marry and apply for spouse visa in UK on form FLR(M)
Hello,Casa wrote:So have you decided to marry in the UK?That would require two visa applications. A fiance visa @ £956 and then after the UK wedding which must take place within 6 months, you'll have to apply for a 2.5 year FLR(M) extension @ £649 + the NHS Surcharge of £500.
It appears you might be misunderstanding what the fiance visa is. It is not a visa to start the process and get it before marrying in India. A fiance visa is what you apply for when you are getting married in the UK. It has nothing to do with marriage in India. My aim is to utilise the time between now and marriage to process the visa so after marriage I don't have to do paper work
