You still have some months to go, hopefully, it'll be few months from now. Good luck!camisu wrote:Guys how soon would I be expecting an approval? I got this email replied on Friday?
Hi Camisu,
Your application is being prepared for submission to the Minister & will be
submitted to the Minister for decision as expeditiously as possible.

You're at a stage where Garda and all other departmental checks are being carried out by the INIS on your application. This could take 2 - 3 months on the average. Good luck!AmeliaBoyle wrote:Stupid question but can anyone help? Does a second stage letter say 'second stage letter' on it? I'm trying to figure out where I'm at in terms of my application.
Application process takes an average of six to nine months but any application over this average period and still pending is not too good. For you to have your application pending in over 15 months obviously indicates there's a serious issue somewhere. You probably have a crime issue along the line i guess. Therefore, it may be that your application is deliberately delayed to punish you for something you did wrong during your residency. My advice is that you keep your hope alive and just patiently wait and luckily you may be considered for an approval sooner than you think. It shall come to pass... Good luck!camisu wrote:@kindoman .Thanks for yr comments. My application is 15 months now so when would this check end & when do u think I should be expecting an approval as I have been checked before even up to the social warefare? Thanks
Congratulations to you!michbad88 wrote:After 23 months, I finally got my approval letter on 04/09/2015. Paid the fee, sent off my GNIB and Passport photos on 05/09/2015. Has anyone heard anything about when the next ceremony is? There's usually one late September/ early October right?
Thanks! My application was never officially deferred for any reason and the last time they had requested additional docs from me was August 2014. I think the reason my application took so long to be processed was because I was applying for an exception based on my Irish associations.caveman wrote:Congratulations to you!michbad88 wrote:After 23 months, I finally got my approval letter on 04/09/2015. Not a word about next ceremony buy hoping it will be in Mid October = fingers crossed!
I see you had a long wait (23 months) Can you please share your timeline and possibly reasons for the delay as that would help others still waiting on a decision
Once again congratulations and hope to see you all at the ceremony in OCTOBER!!!!!!
Nope that was only the Irish rugby coach and the one South African player that were made Irish citizens that day. Probably for the world cup or something.bluemoon2 wrote:GUYS , just wondering , was there any citizenship ceremony on 2nd September 2015 ? as i have just seen on department of justice web site , have a look there , here is the link , http://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/SP15000454
I think the reason the asked for me to provide those was because in 2011 I went back to South Africa for 9 months and from 2012 to 2013 I was living in South Korea. I dont think they would have requested police clearance unless you were living outside Ireland recently.Amit005 wrote:hi guys can they ask police report from your origin country .like the case of michbad88 she mention police report from south africa and korea .
