What is your full immigration history, including visa start and end dates?Unfortunately I do not meet the criteria for ILR as I do not have a continuous stay in the UK.
The HSMP category no longer exists. When it ceased to exist, extensions in at category ceased to exist along with it. Here is a recent thread discussing the dilemma.shrink wrote:
I am not looking for extension under TIER 1 General but under HSMP.
Also doing a quick google search I found this archived document,9. If an applicant meets these requirements we will grant them:
a. Three years’ leave; or
b. Enough leave to enable the applicant to complete the qualifying period for
settlement,
whichever is the greater.
10. Their grant of leave will confer the same rights and impose the same
conditions as their previous HSMP leave.
12. Migrants will be able to apply for subsequent extensions of stay under these
provisions should they not wish to apply for settlement.
It doesn't matter who you consult with. In the end you have to convince the government of two things:shrink wrote:I am thinking of consulting an immigration expert - do you think that will be the right course of action? or should I contact UKVI?
It still is. Here (click). The fact that this document is still active in gov.uk goes on to show we can consider it as credible and live information.shrink wrote:It was explicitly mentioned on the http://www.gov.uk website that options for migrants in my situation would be to either apply for ILR and if they do not wish to they can apply for subsequent extensions.
Why don't you list all your absences here for some senior member to have a look. May be they can see something which you might be overlooking...shrink wrote:Thank you very much for your reply.
Is there anyone else in my situation ie not eligible for ILR and need extension of HSMP.
May be we could all get together and plan what to do next.
I understand that there will be very few in this situation but I will be extremely grateful if could get in touch with me.

Thank you for your reply.
I know that TIER 1 General extensions have been stopped since April 2015 but my situation is different as I have been granted extension under TIER 1 HSMP.
My last extension was in August 2014.
I have spent more than 180 calendar days outside the UK in a year since 2006 (in the last 5 years as well) for a number of years due to certain personal reasons - as far as I am aware this will not make me eligible for ILR.
Since the Judicial Review judgement of 2008 migrants were eligible to apply for ILR/extension under the old HSMP rules.
HSMP did not exist in 2014 but I was still given extension for three years.
I am not looking for extension under TIER 1 General but under HSMP.
I could not find any details regarding the TIER 1 HSMP on http://www.gov.uk
Hence my query

Cheers.
