Also, in addition to zimba88's advice, if you submit another application while in AR, your AR is automatically withdrawn.

First T1 50k app refused recently and went for AR on 15 June 2018. Now waiting for AR decision. Can I switch to spouse visa while AR is pending? Please clarify whether it can only be a fresh application or can I change/vary current application which is awaiting AR decision?
Secondly what will be my status of 10 yrs residency when I go for a fresh application?

I’m going to ask same question here.

No, you cannot be on the company's payroll
