Tier 2 CoS Change of employment

Hi,
Can anyone explain if the Tier 2 General ('Switching Immigration Category') is the correct category when you change employment under existing Tier 2? My HR had applied under this category and I submitted my application recently! The HR informed me today that they had applied under same category recently for another candidate switching from another employer and was approved.
