I have ILR and eligible for BC but not in a rush, I married a woman outside and i brought her under spouse visa in may 2017. unfortunately we did not work and and we are on separation and i am planning to divorce. unfortunately she is being misinformed by her friends to say i caused her emotional abuse and she has been looking for women shelter saying she is homeless because she was emotionally abused by me.

What are the implications here for me and for her because i still want her to get status even if we separate, shall i halt divorce or it doesnt matter?

we have no children together and she is able bodied.

Dear All,

Could you please help me here with more information. I separated with my then wife pending divorce which she refused to give her new address just to avoid divorce and i could not proceed with the divorce. as she was on spouse visa she is going around woman's shelters and refuge centers claiming I emotionally abused her so that she gets indefinate via that route. I never abused her and there is no one day we fought or called the police, there is basically no evidence hence she is saying emotional abuse.

If she goes ahead how likely is this going to affect my clean slate record and naturalization? will i be summoned to court to defend my case?

Dear All,

I recently posted about my estranged wife plans to apply for settlement as a victim of DV after her visa got curtailed but falsely doing this.

this concerned me and i realized i was the victim from some voice notes she sent me. and i consulted the police who advised me to write to home office notifying them that i strongly dispute her claims and give them a crime reference number they gave me.

So i need the address for home office if anyone knows it.

Without solid proofs no domestic violence claim can succeed. You shouldn't afraid of it rather keep record all the conversations & actions to fail any false claim and if possible ask witnesses.
