Experience with the online Application System

Hi guys,
I will be applying for my ILR (SET O) in March and I understand the Home Office now returns your documents including travel documents to you same day. I want to confirm from those who have attended recently if the Biometric Card/Visa is given back to you with your passport same day. This is because I plan to travel after the application and documents submission in March and return in May, meanwhile my VISA is valid until November 2019.
Hope someone will help out. Thanks in advance!

You should not travel once you have applied as traveling out of the UK will likely cause your application to be withdrawn.
