Tier 2 - UK born dependent visa application

Post by Wincognito » Wed Jan 30, 2019 3:16 pm

Hi

I am Tier 2 General migrant living in the UK with my wife(as dependent). My visa is valid till July 2020. My ILR due by 30th June 2019. We had a new born daughter in June 2018 and I am planning to get her a dependent UK visa (travelling out to India and back). She will need the visa on 24th March 2019 when she is coming into the UK.

I am planning to apply for her visa within UK and I have few questions regarding this. I hope experts could help me out.

>> What is the fund maintenance that is needed when I am applying for my daughter ONLY? Guidelines from gov.uk says it is £945 plus £645! Or am I wrong and it is only £645 as I am applying only for my daughter?

>> Some of posts here are saying, I dont need to show maintenance and even the passport like this below
other-countries/uk-born-indian-passport ... 10-60.html

If it is true, how do i say that she has got no passport even though she has one? And please do help me out with the website links and options as I am not able to find this.

>> There is also another cheeky thought that came to mind :) Why not apply for a tourist visa for my daughter as she will be due for a UK passport when I get an ILR in another 4 months. the risk is here to pay for the NHS if she has to use it. I could save over 1k (if applying in priority service). but this will be my last resort.

Thanks
V

You cannot lie to HO and state she does not have a passport when she does have one. This is deception. What links exactly are you looking for??

She is not a visitor if you hold a Tier 2 general and presumably your spouse also holds a tier 2 dependent visa. A visitor visa will be refused. There is also no guarantee you will be granted ILR either.

Maintenance funds is £630 for 90 days.

Thanks CR001 for the reply. If it only £630 I am good and can apply within UK.

Tier 2 general appointment booked

Post by Wincognito » Mon Feb 04, 2019 11:35 am

Hi

I am applying for Tier 2 general dependent visa from within UK for my daughter born in the UK. I have booked the appointment(2 weeks service) for 11/02/19. I am travelling out of the country on 02/03/19, its going to be tricky. The question I have is about the mandatory documents that are shown on UKVI. The mandatory docs in UKVI site for my daughter's application are

> Valid passport
> fund maintence proof from me ( I have the tier 2 general visa)

Are these actually enough?

There is no mention of documents like
> Parents passport
> my BRP
> Daughter's UK birth certificate
> proof of stay (although this may not be required as she is already in the UK)

Also, when will be the biometrics taken? is it on the same appointment date?

Experts please help. Thanks

Thanks
V
