What category of settlement visa do you haveVinod kumar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 3:53 pmHi
I have settlement visa in U.K. my wife is in India and so I need to apply for my wife as a dependent. So what type of visa should I apply for??
WifeVinod kumar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 4:34 pmThanks for reply.
I got my ILR on 13-04-2018 (10 year route). Valid until 2024.
Now I would like to apply for my wife as an ILR dependant visa from India. So I have started the application online and select visa type
Reason for visit - settlement
Visa type - settlement
Visa sub type- 1. Child or Other dependant of a settled person and 2. Wife. I was confused here to choose which option is correct.
Under IHS section select 'apply alone' and then where it ask about your ILR date of expiry then put three years of its expiry to get £1200=£400*3 instead ten years of expiry.Vinod kumar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 7:11 pmThanks for reply seagul.
So I have filled in exactly and completed full application & now it’s down to payment IHS
so visa is 2.5+2.5 and the fee is coming up as to pay full amount as there is no option to pay for 2.5 years, so 5x£400=£2000 and then went to payment page it’s coming up as £2428 in INR(Rs.228624). I have no idea why the amount went high.
Help me on this thanks in advance.
Giving 3 years of expiry of ILR isn't false information rather its the only way to calculate the right amount of IHS which HO is already aware.Vinod kumar wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 7:55 pmThanks for the reply.
I know if I change the option the price is going down but is it ok if I give false information about visa expiration date to the home office?![]()
I guess no because the fees only be calculated in that country's currency from where the applicant is applying.Vinod kumar wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 4:25 pmI have one more question. Is there any option to pay in GBP rather then paying in INR ? Means by choosing application as apply for someone else.
Is there any chance I can bring my wife on a standard visit visa to Uk and switch the visa to ILR dependant (Applying as inside the Uk)?
