Don't understand why applicants use lawyers to be honest. It is a huge cost for someone to simply complete a form and many of them get even the most basic types of applications horribly wrong to the detriment of the applicant.

FLR(M) is not a difficult application to make.

It's really funny how you said this before how they get this wrong...

I used a very reputable advisor for my initial Ancestry visa and only due to a complex situation regarding an adoption and variations of my grandmothers names in official documents.

After I got to the UK, I switched to spouse visa on FLR(M) and did it on my own as well as my ILR and my Citizenship. All 3 applications I did for my daughter and myself and never had any delay or 'application held' or refusal. Visas and ILR issued same day and Citizenship took 4.5 weeks.

Hi all,

About to put in the application to go from a Tier 2 to spouse visa. Part of the requirement online is saying showing proofs of cohabitation for the past two years. We just moved in today together and I said that in the application. Shouldn't this be enough with the tenancy agreement? It's asking for muliple sources which we do not have right now nor won't for ages.
For initial spouse visa application there is no need of 2 years of cohabitation evidences.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Lawyer said letters from friends and the three months of screenshots should help.
Letters from friends is irrelevant, anyone can write them. Screenshots for 3 months is also not relevant.

I cannot see in your thread how long you have been living together prior to marriage. Your marriage cert, which is very recent, should suffice.

Note that cohabitation evidence is not required if you are recently married and switching to spouse visa. Neither is social media/whatsapp chats.

Suggest get any of the most recent documents you have, including going to the bank to get statements and a letter etc.

Hi all again,

Now I know why I used the lawyer, I made a minor mistake in the application with regards to the address where we will be living. In the application I mistakely put in the landlord's address as the tentacy agreement isn't clear and has his address first, not the address of the place i'll be living. I can't edit the application now as it's been submitted and my appointment is tomorrow. What can I do? Should I just write a cover letting explaining this mistake?

A simple cover letter would suffice. A lawyer would have done exactly that, at a nice cost to you.

Also are electronic signatures accepted for tentacy agreement? The landlord hasn't physically signed it only with his electronic sig.
