Can I Volunteer In Partners Guest House?

Post by WeymouthKiwi » Tue Apr 16, 2019 4:47 pm

Hi everyone!
I am currently waiting on a decision on my visa application which is taking a while as my previous visa had expired while I was in hospital and unwell.
Due to the visa situation I am unable to work until it is issued, but my wife and I are now in extreme financial hardship.
I'm normally a bus driver and my wife runs a small guest house from our home.
I was wondering your thoughts on if I would be able to help out by doing the housework/room cleaning (unpaid) so as to free up my wife's time, if she is able to get other work outside the home while I'm waiting on the HO reply.

I look forward to any advice!
Thank you.

You are not permitted to work in any capacity, paid or unpaid, until your visa is granted.

What visa you had previously and what type of visa you have applied now? when was your previous visa expired and when had you applied the current visa?
