You will also need to attach NARIC own issued statement of english proficiency too.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 11:49 pm
My question is, what documents should I send to prove this. My solicitor said I only need to send the NARIC statement of comparability, but don’t I need his original degree also?

Only Australian national will be exempted from English language not just by holding Australian degree.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:55 amseagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 4:50 amYou will also need to attach NARIC own issued statement of english proficiency too.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 11:49 pm

But Australia is part of the list of countries that the home office assumes the degree was taught in English anyways. Also, do I definitely not need my husbands degree then?
Guidance says that ‘’if an academic qualification has been taught or researched in one of the countries listed in section 4.1, we will assume that it was taught or researched in English at or above the required CEFR level.’’seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:14 pmOnly Australian national will be exempted from English language not just by holding Australian degree.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:55 amseagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 4:50 amYou will also need to attach NARIC own issued statement of english proficiency too.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sat May 11, 2019 11:49 pm

Still none-uk degree will have to be assessed through NARIC whether had it been studied in English speaking country or not.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:20 pmGuidance says that ‘’if an academic qualification has been taught or researched in one of the countries listed in section 4.1, we will assume that it was taught or researched in English at or above the required CEFR level.’’seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:14 pmOnly Australian national will be exempted from English language not just by holding Australian degree.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:55 am

Australia is a part of the list of those countries, hence proving that the degree was taught in English is not required as the home office already assumes it is.
Will a copy of the degree be required along with my NARIC statement of comparability or is the original necessary?
I have the NARIC statement of comparability which states that my husband studied his degree in Australia. Do I also need to show his degree, and if yes then does it have to be the original?seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:27 pmStill none-uk degree will have to be assessed through NARIC whether had it been studied in English speaking country or not.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:20 pmGuidance says that ‘’if an academic qualification has been taught or researched in one of the countries listed in section 4.1, we will assume that it was taught or researched in English at or above the required CEFR level.’’seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:14 pmOnly Australian national will be exempted from English language not just by holding Australian degree.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:55 am

Yes degree will have to attach but fortunately through new system you can scan & upload it and keep original with you during the visa process.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:42 pmI have the NARIC statement of comparability which states that my husband studied his degree in Australia. Great! I am also confused as to where the documents need to be sent. My husband is a Pakistani national and is in Australia on a post-graduate work visa. So should I send the documents to Sheffield or should I send them to Perth, Australia? Also, his degree is with him in Australia right now and I have the rest of the documents with me. Is there a way for him to upload his degree online and then I upload the rest of the documents from here?seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:45 pmYes degree will have to attach but fortunately through new system you can scan & upload it and keep original with you during the visa process.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:42 pmI have the NARIC statement of comparability which states that my husband studied his degree in Australia. Your partner will have to apply from Australia and he should enquire from his local vfs centre there that whether they scan & upload the documents at the time of appointment which usually is free in many countries. Now the supporting documents are no longer be sent to sheffield they are scanned, uploaded and sent to them electronically.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 8:50 pmGreat! His local vfs centre in in Perth, I have checked online and they do not scan and upload the documents for you. Does this mean he will have to do it himself?seagul wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:35 pmYour partner will have to apply from Australia and he should enquire from his local vfs centre there that whether they scan & upload the documents at the time of appointment which usually is free in many countries. In that case the supporting documents you will have to take to your local vfs centre in UK for scanning & uploading who usually £75. And according to members experience they scan A4 sized copies of original documents but not sure that whether they cross check them with originals.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 3:10 amHis local vfs centre in in Perth, I have checked online and they do not scan and upload the documents for you. So when I go to my local vfs centre here to upload documents for £75, how will my husband be able to upload his degree which is with him in Australia, is there any way to do this?seagul wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 8:01 amIn that case the supporting documents you will have to take to your local vfs centre in UK for scanning & uploading who usually £75. Ask to your local VFS centre that whether they strictly want to see original degree certificate or they can just scan the copy. If they don't want original then your partner can send you the copy.anonymous1999 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 10:50 amSo when I go to my local vfs centre here to upload documents for £75, how will my husband be able to upload his degree which is with him in Australia, is there any way to do this?seagul wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 8:01 amIn that case the supporting documents you will have to take to your local vfs centre in UK for scanning & uploading who usually £75. Hi again! My husband is having his biometrics done in Perth and I, the sponsor, am paying the £75 fee to have all the documents scanned here in the UK. My question is, do the documents need to be scanned and submitted before his biometrics appointment as my solicitor is saying that this is the new rule. It would be easier to submit them after, but she is saying otherwise. I am confused because I am reading people’s timelines and they do not seem to be submitting their supporting documents before the biometrics appointment.seagul wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 7:53 pmAsk to your local VFS centre that whether they strictly want to see original degree certificate or they can just scan the copy.
