Spouse extension visa question

Post by 5am1224 » Sun Jun 30, 2019 9:01 pm

Hi All,

I’m currently filling in the online spouse Visa extension application and I’m stuck on a question, it asks the following:
Non-applying children
I have two children whom already are British citizens, I have not been married before and so have no children from previous marriage.

So is the question referring to children from previous marriages .or my current marriage as it asks after that the following:

Provide details of the role you take in (my child name) upbringing, including details of your parental responsibility or access arrangements

Please let me know.

Many thanks

Could someone please confirm what to answer for “Non-applying children” question? I only have 2 children who are British citizens from birth with my partner.

Any help will be much appreciated.
Many thanks

you have to include all your British children and if your partner have any other British children from previous marriage or relationship then you include them as well.

second question :I am the parental mother /father of my child( name of the child)

Please make sure you submit a new English certificate A2 for UKVIS from an approved center British Council . better to spend 150 or 200 pounds to be in the safe side than risk it with an old English certificate and you end up in the 10 years partner route.

all the best

Spouse visa extension Barclays printed bank statements

Post by 5am1224 » Sat Jul 06, 2019 11:03 am

Hi all,

Just before I submit my Spouse visa extension this week, I am aware that my partner has to submit the last 6 months of bank statement, would printed at the branch Barclays bank statements acceptable! They have a digital stamp on each page that was printed on the self service machine.

If they can’t be accepted, what is my other options as Barclays didn’t send the original statements monthly.

Many thanks in advance.

why 6 months only? it should cover the last two years,I'm talking about non EEU partner from my own experience.
ask them at Barclays branch to print them and to stamp them.you have to mention the reason is immigration caseworker accept originals only . lloyds has printed and stamped the statements I couldn't receive.

if they will charge you because your account is not set for paper statement then just pay and get those statements and they should stamp them with the branch stamp not digital one to justify that they are genuine. it may cost 10 or 20 pounds , it's better than losing thousands.do NOT give caseworker a chance for refusal.

also make sure to sign the joint consent and her consent which you get when you print out the application ,it's very important . double check all documents and if you chose premium service please pay attention to the agent when he's scanning your documents so he doesn't miss any paper. avoid unnecessary chatting with the agent, lack of attention may lead to skip a page in scanning.

Digital stamp might not be accepted but a lot Barclays banks are very generous in manually stamping them

Hi All,
Paid for the application today and then printed the application out and straightaway noticed a mistake that I made 😞, in page 121, IMMIGRATION HISTORY, first question: DID YOU ENTER THE UK LEGALLY? I mistakenly answered NO, I have entered the UK legally as a spouse/partner leave to enter on a 2.5 years visa. I am feeling too bad and anxious after discovering this mistake.

By answering this question wrongly, would this lead to refusal! Even though I will submit my current passport showing the entry visa been stamped along with my biometric card?

Please guys let me know ASAP

Hopefully caseworker will treat it as a minor mistake and will ignore it.

Biometric appointment, uploading supporting documents!!!

Post by 5am1224 » Wed Jul 10, 2019 7:47 pm

Hi All,

I have managed to book a biometric appointment miles away from I live since all appointments were already booked in all places near where I live. Now it’s asking me to upload a soft copy of my documents, my question is, shall I upload every piece of evidence on the application check list? I am applying for a spouse visa 1st extension.

Please guys let me know which documents I need to upload before the appointment!

Many thanks in advance

Upload all documents to support your application , double sided.
Also write a cover letter explaining to the caseworker your mistake and it should be the first thing you upload.

You should upload your passport as well , I'm not sure if it's all the pages or just the first one

English B1 certificate.
My Bachelor degree.
Why both??? You only need ONE to meet the English requirement and should only choose one in the form.
2 passport photos with my name and date of birth written at the back.
Why?? Not required!!
My partner British passport.
Partner certificate of naturalisation.
You only need one not both.
Partner payslips for the past 2.5 years.
Partner bank statements covers the past 2.5 years, 4 statement per year plus the last 5 months statements.
Why are you submitting so many?? You only need a minimum of 6 months payslips and bank statements.

Don't submit unnecessary documents you think ho might want to see.
Char (CR001 not Casa)

Minimum of 6 months! You mean the last 6 months or 6 months worth of statements spread over the past 2.5 years?

Many thanks
