If I understood correct, you got your ILR via Tier 2 G 5 year route?Abisheak wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2019 5:36 pmHi ,
Request the following information:
I recently got my ILR in Feb 2019 (Tier 2 General route for 5+ years ). My Wife is currently on PBS dependent visa which is valid until Nov 2019 ( She will be completing 3 years and 4 months by Nov 2019 ).
Can you please advice what is the visa type I should I apply to extend her dependent visa?
Thanks in advance

Your wife needs PBS dependent extension till she reaches 5 years to qualify for her ILR.
Hi,
No. Keep her on PBS dependent visa till she qualifies for ILR after 5 years regardless of your citizenship.

If you change her visa to spouse visa her ILR clock will reset to zero and she will have to stay another 5 years on spouse visa to qualify for ILR.
Thanks again for the clarificationCR001 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 21, 2019 5:06 pm1. Non-issue regarding your UK born child. He does not need a visa.
2. If your wife applies in time before visa expiry, her existing visa conditions continue under section 3C of the immigration rules while HO processes the application.

Huh ! I should have explained this before.
