Changing from Tier 2 ICT to new Point Based System

Hi,
I just came to know that there will be a new point based system (new type of Visa). So can I change to Tier 2 ICT to new point based system? or do I have to wait for cool off time?

No one knows. It is only an announcement at this point. There is as yet no guidance or immigration rules on what the new system will be.

It is unlikely the 12 month cooling off for ICT to tier 2 general will be removed.

As the announcements say, it will be from sometime in 2021.

Note this new route is also aimed at EU citizens as well. As the transition period of brexit ends on 31 December 2020 and potentially mid 2021, don't expect anything before then.

As I have already stated yesterday, there are NO rules or guidance on what the new PBS route (from next year) will be. Until then, the existing rules apply.

There is likely to be no change to the ICT to tier 2 general cooling off period.
